I'm very happy to announce a new blog that I'm hoping everyone in the genealogy community will read. It's called GeneaPress. (www.geneapress.com) I've been receiving lots of press releases and haven't been able to keep up with getting everything published like I would like to. There is also alot of redundancy in the blogging world if you read several of the popular blogs. This new blog will be a wonderful place for people to get the news first hand--from the press releases--and then your favorite bloggers will be able to stick more to the commentary on the news.
According to the "About" information on the blog:
GeneaPress is a communal effort by the genealogy and family history blogging community to manage the large number of press releases received from genealogy vendors and organizations. The goal is to create a repository where bloggers can link to the latest news about the genealogy industry.
Kudos again to Thomas MacEntee of Geneabloggers for leading out in another collaborative effort that will strengthen our genealogy community.
